If you are not receiving a confirmation code, the cause will be one of the following issues.  Check each, and if you still have problems, please log a ticket with our team, making sure to let us know your first and last name, the institution you are with, the invite code you used and any email addresses you have that may have been used by your institution to identify you.


IMPORTANT NOTE:  Confirmation Codes are different than Invite Codes.  Invite codes are used to identify the account you are associated with.  Confirmation codes are sent to confirm your ownership of an email address when creating a password.


Issue 1. The code has been sent to your email, but is being diverted to your spam, junk or clutter folder.


Solution:  Check these folders.  If you find it, enter it and continue.  If you do not find it, proceed to step 2.



Issue 2. The email address you are entering is typed incorrectly OR it is not the email address your institution has associated to the account.


Solution:  Carefully check you have entered your email address correctly.  If still doesn't work, it may be the email address you are entering is not associated to the account.  Generally the email addresses used are your University or College email, but in some cases it may be your personal email (Gmail, Yahoo etc).  Try different email address and then check for your confirmation code again - also check your spam, junk and clutter folders.



Issue 3. The Invite Code you have entered is not correct, and therefore your email address can't be found.


Solution:  Check the instructions your teachers or account administrator have provided to confirm the invite code you should be entering.  Once confirmed, enter that invite code and then attempt to login again.  If you have never successfully logged in before, you will still need to follow the "First time user?" flow.  If you have forgotten your password and are trying to reset it, you will follow the "Forgot password?" flow.



Issue 4 You have not been associated with your institutions account.


If you have tried all of the above and still don't receive a confirmation code, the likely situation 


Solution:  If you have tried all of the above and still don't receive a confirmation code, then your institution may have accidently missed you from the account.  You can confirm this with them, or by contacting our support team.  Tell them the institution you are with, your first and last name, the invite code you used and any email addresses that you have.
